Drenching Thunderstorms Continue Pounding Hill Country

posted by Jim Forsyth -

Drenching thunderstorms are again dousing the Edwards Plateau as the line of storms that caused flooding on Monday continues to train through the region, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

One woman was rescued but four pipeline workers from Odessa remain missing after the flooded Llano River washed away RV's in Kimble County near Junction.

The National Weather Service says strong storms will continue moving across the region on Tuesday.

For metro San Antonio, on and off showers are forecast for today, although not as severe as the storms hitting the area to the west of the city.

Gov. Greg Abbott has activated emergency assets to help Texas deal with the monster line of storm, which stretches from the Mexico border near Del Rio all the way north through Abilene and Wichita Falls and into Oklahoma.
