Bexar Sheriff's Employee Facing Termination Following DWI Arrest

You would think that by now, employees of the Bexar County Sheriff would realize that drinking and driving is a really bad idea.

But not Vanessa Flores.

1200 WOAI news reports the 39 year old non uniformed dispatcher was pulled over for DWI over the weekend, and it was her second drunk driving arrest.  Records show Flores was arrested for DWI back in 2011.

Sheriff Javier Salazar says Flores, who as a civilian employee is not covered by civil service protections, will be fired.

Flores is the 21st Bexar County Sheriff's Department employee to be arrested in 2018.  Most of the arrests have been for either DWI or domestic violence.
