San Antonio is getting its second non stop flight to New York's Kennedy International Airport, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
American Airlines will begin the service on Valentine's Day. Delta already offers a non stop from SAT to JFK.
“This is exciting news for San Antonio and our travelers, because there is a growing demand from leisure travelers to visit one of the top tourist destinations in the country and now there’s even more access for business travelers to cultivate ties in the financial, high-tech, research and software sectors ,” said Russ Handy, Aviation Director for the City of San Antonio.
Handy said 300,000 people fly each year from San Antonio to New York City.
The new service will allow passengers to fly to New York and return the same day, leaving at 9AM and arriving back at 10PM.
This is the second American Airlines non stop addition this year. The airline announced a new non stop flight to Philadelphia earlier this year.
