It was a violent night in the city, with three separate shooting incidents which left four people hospitalized with bullet wounds, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The first incident happened about 11pm when police found a man and a woman had been shot inside a car in the parking lot of a convenience store on Southwest Military Drive.
Both had been shot in the chest and both are listed in critical condition.
Witnesses said the couple had been in a confrontation with a man who was seen speeding away in a white Volvo. He remains at large.
About 1;30 this morning, a confrontation between several people in an apartment on Vance Jackson Rd on the northwest side.
Police say the argument ended when a man pulled a handgun and shot him in the stomach.. The victim, in his 20s, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.. The suspect ran off and remains at large.
About 3:30 AM detectives were called to Hazel Valley St, on the southwest side, where they found a woman shot in the hip.. The 37 year old is in stable condition and police are questioning a man who was in the home at the time.
