Alex Bregman blasted a two-run homer in the first inning to help the Astros beat the Blue Jays 4-1 in Toronto. Bregman has 31 homers and 103 RBI on the season, both career bests. Josh James allowed one run over five innings to claim the victory for Houston, which won its fifth straight and 100th of the season. Billy McKinney homered in the third for the Toronto run. Blue Jays starter Sam Gaviglio absorbed the loss. Toronto has dropped three straight and four of its last five games.
