San Antonio's new Triple-A Missions baseball team will be the top farm team of the Milwaukee Brewers, the teams announced today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The Missions and the Brewers announced a two year partnership.The Double-A Missions, which played its final regular season game three weeks ago, is relocating to Amarillo, and San Antonio will receive the Triple-A team currently in Colorado Springs.
The first game of the new higher-level Missions will be April 4.
The Missions will play their home games in Wolff Stadium, as negotiations for a possible new stadium downtown have stalled.
