Hurricane Florence has made landfall. Florence came ashore this morning in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina as a Category 1 storm with maximum sustained winds of 90 miles per hour. Florence had already been making its presence felt well ahead of landfall. Emergency officials say over 430-thousand customers in North and South Carolina have lost power. Morehead City, North Carolina and New Bern have taken some of the hardest hits, with around ten feet of storm surge reported. That's led to dozens of people finding themselves trapped by floodwaters and in need of rescue. Florence is also wreaking havoc on air travel with more than 13-hundred flights along the East Coast already canceled today.
