Firefighters were scrambled to a two alarm fire at an east side apartment complex this morning, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The alarm came in in the 400 block of Gilmore, and when firefighters learned that it was an apartment complex, a second alarm was sounded, sending two dozen units to the scene.
But crews determined that the building was abandoned, so units worked through the rain to knock down the flames.
Nobody was hurt. Arson investigtors are looking into the cause.
