The National Weather Service has downgraded its prediction of the amount of rain metro San Antonio is expected to get from tropical system 'Invest 95-L,' which is expected to come ashore tonight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The latest forecast is for 2-3 inches in the San Antonio area, more to the south and west.
The heaviest rain is now expected to fall in the Eagle Pass area, as the system is expected to make landfall south of Corpus Christi and move west northwest across the state.
But forecasters warn that, with the San Antonio area soils already saturated, any amount of rain could lead to street flooding.
There is also the possibility of additional rain throughout the area.Tornadoes and high winds are not expected with the storm.
