President Trump says the federal government is prepared to help out as Hurricane Florence gets closer to the southeast. Trump said he has spoke with the governors of South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia, which are all in the path of the powerful category four hurricane. Trump noted on Twitter that Florence will likely be one of the worst storms to hit the East Coast in many years. He urged people to be prepared, careful and safe. Forecasters are warning that hurricane force winds, life-threatening storm surge and flooding are likely along the southeast coast once the storm makes landfall.
