A flash flood watch is in place for the entire San Antonio area as continued rains on Saturday could lead to street flooding, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
mwill remain in place until 9AM Sunday and covers generally the area west of I-35.
The National Weather Service expects the region to receive 1 to 3 inches of rain through midday Sunday, with up to 7 inches possible west of I-35.
"Heavy downpours in already saturated ground could lead to flash flooding within isolated areas, the NWS said.. "Severe weather is not expected."
People are asked to be cautious around areas that are known to flood, and motorists are advised not to drive into flood waters.
