ANOTHER Bexar Sheriff's Deputy Arrested

If Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar wants to find a crime wave, he only needs to look at his own office.  Another Bexar County Deputy was arrested this morning, the 17th deputy to be charged with breaking the law this year, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

BCSO Corporal Kailin Kruger, 26, was arrested by San Antonio Police this morning on charges of drunk driving.  She was released on $1,000 bond.

Kruger is a detention officer and has been with the BCSO a little more than three years.

"We constantly remind our employees through literature, training, and mass communication of the senselessness of the crime of DWI.  There are so many other choices to avoid putting the public and yourself at risk," Salazar said.  "The Bexar County Sheriff's Office and area law enforcement vigorously enforce DWI laws. Anyone who chooses to drive while intoxicated is making a horrible, dangerous decision.  Administratively, This case will be handled as swiftly and severely as possible.  We will assist SAPD on the criminal case as needed."

Most of the deputies arrived this year have been charged with either domestic violence or DWI, although two were indicted by the feds on charges of smuggling meth to jail inmate
