Again--A Bicyclist Critically Hurt by a Hit-and-Run Driver

For the second time in 48 hours, a bicyclist is in critiical condition after being run over by a hit and run motorist, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say a woman had just gotten off a VIA bus in the 2700 block of Nacogdoches road about 1AM Friday, and she had gotten on her bike, which you can take on many buses, and was riding northbound on Nacogdoches.

A car rammed into the 27 year old victim from behind, shoving her into a telephone pole.She was rushed to the hospital in critical conditon with multiple injuries.

Police say the driver of the car clearly realized he had hit the woman, but instead of stopping, he accelerated and drove off.

Early Wednesday a man was rammed from behind by a car as he rode his bike down the access road of Loop 410 near Perrin-Beitel Rd.
