Rangers Bombard Twins

Rangers

The Rangers' offense went wild at home as they bombarded the Twins 18-4 in  Arlington.  Texas piled up a dozen extra base hits, including six home  runs.  Nomar Mazara went deep twice as the Rangers pulled away with a nine-run sixth inning.  He finished with four home  runs in the series.  Yohander Mendez worked six  shutout innings for the win.  Texas has won two in a row following a  five-game slide.  The Twins used seven pitchers in the loss, and each  gave up at least one run.  Gabriel Moya was charged with the loss.
