The Rangers' offense went wild at home as they bombarded the Twins 18-4 in Arlington. Texas piled up a dozen extra base hits, including six home runs. Nomar Mazara went deep twice as the Rangers pulled away with a nine-run sixth inning. He finished with four home runs in the series. Yohander Mendez worked six shutout innings for the win. Texas has won two in a row following a five-game slide. The Twins used seven pitchers in the loss, and each gave up at least one run. Gabriel Moya was charged with the loss.
