Mississippi handed Texas Tech a 47-27 in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff in Houston on Saturday.
Scottie Phillips ran for 204 yards in his Ole Miss debut. Jordan Ta'amu was 22 of 32 for 336 yards and two touchdowns at quarterback.
Texas Tech is back in action on Saturday, September 8th against Lamar.
