For a second season in a row, the Texas Longhorns have lost their season-opener to Maryland. The Longhorns came up short in Maryland on Saturday, losing to the Terrapins 31-29 in a weather-delayed game.
The Terrapins jumped to an early 24-7 lead, only to see the Longhorns pull within 2, 24-22 at the half.
The game was delayed by more than an hour after a storm blew in during the fourth quarter. Once play resumed, the Longhorns had chances squashed by turnovers.
The Longhorns will return home to host Tulsa on Saturday, September 8 and then face USC the following Saturday, September 15.
