Cowboys Center Has Rare Immune System Disorder

Cowboys Pro Bowl center Travis Frederick disclosed he has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare disorder that  causes the body's immune system to attack its nerves.  Frederick has been bothered by stingers.  The Cowboys anticipate he will play this season, but there is no timetable for his  return.  There is no cure for the ailment, but treatments can comfort  the symptoms. It is not considered a career threatening disease.
