Video Captures Motorcyclist Driving Down The Highway Steering With His Feet

A Florida driver captured a seven-second clip of a motorcyclist acting recklessly as he cruised down Interstate 95 in Jacksonville. In the viral video, the unidentified rider was seen lounging back, without a shirt on, and his feet resting on the handlebars as he sped past the woman filming.

Rashand Anderson Glespen, who recorded the video, told First Coast News that she was traveling at 60 miles per hour when the motorcycle passed her car on the right.

"I couldn't believe it," she said. "He was flying. I'm still baffled."

A public information officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told the newspaper that the motorcyclist will not face punishment because his actions have "to be viewed in person by an officer to be enforced."

If an officer did witness the reckless behavior, the driver could be cited for a noncriminal traffic violation. Florida law states that "a person shall ride upon a motorcycle or moped only while sitting astride the seat, with both wheels on the ground at all times, facing forward, and with one leg on each side of the motorcycle or moped."
