Police: New Braunfels Man Stabs Neighbor, Then Tries to Fix Him

Police in New Braunfels say a man stabbed his neighbor, and then tried to patch up the wound before police arrived, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

It began at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of West San Antonio Street, when two neighbors got into an argument.It got vicious when a 30 year old man started whacking his 24 year old opponent with a belt.  The younger man then pulled a knife and stabbed his attacker in the stomach.

Police say the man with the stab wound was rushed by EMS to SAMMC where he has serious but non life threatening injuries.  

The other man also suffered multiple welts and contusions on his head, back, and body due to the beating with the belt.

Police are still trying to determine who, if anybody, will face charges.  They say the two men had argued before in the apartment complex.
