Feds Raid Local Animal Rescue Facility

Federal agents today raided a prominent animal rescue organization, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

An FBI spokeswoman said both the FBI and IRS are at the facilities of Universal K-9 near Tradesman and Loop 1604 on the city's northwest side.

Michelle Lee said she could not confirm why the agents are at the location, but she explained there is no threat to public safety.Universal K-9 has become known for rescuing pit bull dogs, and training them to work with police agencies nationwide.
