A man was killed and young woman hospitalized in a wreck just north of downtown this morning, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the woman was in a car that was traveling northbound in the lower level of I-35 near San Pedro about 3 AM when the vehicle they were in was rear ended by a truck.
Police say the vehicles attempted to stop for a male pedestrian who was attempting to run across the toad, but were unable to stop in time.
An 18 year old woman was rushed to the hospital with non life threatening injuries, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The person driving the truck was not hurt, and police are investigating the incident.
