Duck Boat Operators Sued For $100M

Ride the Ducks

The operators of the Duck Boat that sank on July 19th in Branson, Missouri killing 17 people is facing a 100-million-dollar wrongful death lawsuit.  The claim states the canopy of the boat trapped those on board and dragged them to the bottom of the lake.  Multiple companies are named in the lawsuit of being aware of the dangers of the vehicles yet doing nothing about it.  Families of the victims who died filed the lawsuit yesterday in the U.S. District Court.  The vessel had 31 people on board when it left the shore on Table Rock Lake before a severe thunderstorm caused the boat to capsize and sink.
