A couple of impatient crooks shot a man on the south side early today when he was unable to fork over his wallet quickly enough, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The victim was confronted by the two wanna-be robbers as he was walking down the 300 block of Chaucer, with is off South Presa, shortly after midnight.
They pointed a gun at the man and demanded his wallet, but because itvwas chained to his belt, he couldn't immediately fork it iver, so one of thevrobbers shot him.
The victim was rushed to SAMMC with non life threatening wounds.
The robbers escaped in a car, but police say the victim recognized one of the robbers and the hunt is on.
