President Trump is responding to a report that his longtime lawyer taped a phone conversation they had about an alleged hush-money payment. The recording of the phone call was reportedly seized during a government raid on Michael Cohen's home and office. Trump tweeted this morning that it was "inconceivable that the government would break into a lawyer's office early in the morning, almost unheard of." The tweet said it was "even more inconceivable that a lawyer would tape a client, totally unheard of and perhaps illegal." Trump added, "The good news is that your favorite President did nothing wrong!" Trump's new lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, says the tape of Trump talking about a payment to a former Playboy model exonerates his client. Giuliani told the New York Times that a payment was never made and insisted that Trump did nothing wrong.
