A survivor of the Missouri duck boat tragedy is saying the captain told them not to wear life jackets. Seventeen people lost their lives when the tour boat capsized in choppy waters Thursday night in Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri. Nine of the victims were members of the Coleman family, on vacation from Indiana. Survivor Tia Coleman told a local TV station that the captain of the duck boat told them not to worry about grabbing the life jackets, and said, "You won't need them." The captain of the duck boat is one of the 14 survivors.
