The NCAA has announced that San Antonio will once again host a Final Four.
The hosts of the Final Four between 2023 and 2026 were announced today by the NCAA and San Antonio will be hosting the Final Four in 2025.
San Antonio hosted the most recent Final Four earlier this year. "By all accounts, people inside and outside of San Antonio regard the 2018 Final Four as the best ever, in its eighty years of history," Mayor Nirenberg, who traveled to Boston last week to lead the city's pitch, told News Radio 1200 WOAI.
Nirenberg pointed out that $60 million in improvements were made to the Dome before this year's event.
"It is a wonderful facility, which has only improved over time, and we feel it is among the premire sports facilities in the United States," he said.
San Antonio has hosted four previous Final Fours; in 1998, 2004, 2008 and 2018.
In addition to San Antonio being announced as host in 2025, the NCAA announced the 2023 Final Four will be held at the NRG Stadium in Houston. The 2024 games will be at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix and the 2026 Final Four will be held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
