Chris Sale struck out 12 over seven shutout innings and the Red Sox held on to beat the Rangers 4-2 at Fenway Park. Sale allowed six hits and a walk en route to his 10th win as Boston stretched its winning streak to nine games. J.D. Martinez doubled in two runs and Xander Bogaerts had a run-scoring triple for the Sox. Bartolo Colon took the loss for Texas. Nomar Mazara and Robinson Chirinos plated runs in the eighth for the Rangers, who have lost eight of their last 10 games.
