Chicago Protest Shuts Down Expressway

Chicago Protests

All lanes of one of Chicago's most  traveled expressways are back open following a protest against violence. The protest, organized by Reverend Michael Pfleger, blocked all northbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway on  the city's south side.  It began around 10:00 this morning and the lanes were reopened a couple of hours later.  Just this year, 61 children  have died because of gun violence. The organizers are calling for  better schools, economic development, gun legislation and better  opportunities for the community.
