A man was arrested Thursday night in connection with the incident at the Whataburger at Thousand Oaks and Nacogdoches Tuesday in which a Trump supporter's 'Make America Great Again' hat was ripped off his head and stolen by a man who then tossed a drink in the 16 year old's face, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police Officer Carlos Ortiz says Kino Jimenez, 30 was arrested without incident in Universal City by Universal City Police Thursday night on a warrant charging him with theft of personal property.
Ortiz says Jimenez was transported to the main police station where he was interviewed by detectives, and from there to the Magistrate's office to be booked.. So far, bond has not been set.
Police say Jimenez is the man who is seen in a viral video that has been viewed more than two million times taking the familiar red cap off the head of Hunter Robert, 16, while he and his friends sit in a booth in the restaurant and then, saying 'for your President' tossing the teen's fountain drink in his face.
He then is heard yelling anti-Trump insults and racial slurs, walking out of the restaurant with hat, muttering racial slurs and negative comments about President Trump.
