Two people died Saturday morning in unrelated car wrecks on the city's north side, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The first wreck happened about 2AM on the access road of I-10 and West Ave.
Police say a pickup turning out of a side street and he slammed into a car that was coming off the highway.. The car kidded out of control and flipped over several times., skidding more than 200 feet.. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
About an hour later, an SUV going down the access road of Loop 410 near Ingram Road.. Police say the driver was going too fast, lost control, and jumped the curb, flipping over and coming to rest in the parking lot of Ingram Park Mall.
The 33 year old driver was pronounced dead at the scene,
Police are investigating both incidents.
