Amazon Today Begins Prime Now Whole Foods Home Delivery in San Antonio

Amazon.com is launching up to one hour home delivery of products through its subsidiary Whole Foods Market today in San Antonio and four other cities, Chicago, Indianapolis, Houston, and Minneapolis, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Amazon says Whole Foods Prime Now is available for home delivery in San Antonio from 8 AM until 10 PM daily.

The service will deliver fresh and organic produce, bakery, dairy, meat and seafood, floral, staples, and select alcohol products, within the times that alcohol can be sold under state law.

“We’ve been delighted with the customer response to delivery in as little as an hour through Prime Now, and we’re excited to bring the service to our customers in Chicago, Houston, Indianapolis, Minneapolis and San Antonio,” said Christina Minardi, Whole Foods Market Executive Vice President of Operations. “Today’s announcement is another way that we are continuing to expand access to our high-quality products and locally-sourced favorites.”

Today's announcement follows one last week that Amazon was beginning home delivery of beer and wine in San Antonio through Prime Now.

This is part of a series of initiatives being made by retailers, including H-E-B and Walmart, to improve convenience for shoppers.
