Bexar Deputy Shoots at Road Rage Suspect

Bexar County deputies opened fire on a fleeing car early Sunday after the driver threatened to drive into a sheriffs vehicle, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Nobody was injured, and the suspect was captured.

A sheriffs department spokesman says the incident began before dawn, when the suspect allegedly brandished a gun during a road rage incident near Wonderland of then Americas at I-10 and Loop 410.

Deputies say the suspect was pursued up Loop 410 to Culebra Rd, and into and out if a subdivision, where multiple shots were exchanged.

From there the chase continued up Westover Hills Blvd to Highway 151, where the suspect was boxed in and surrendered.

The 21 year old suspect will face multiple felony charges.  The two deputies will be on desk duty, as is standard during a shooting incident.
