Brian Manley sworn in as Austin Police Chief

Brian Manley, who has been serving as interim Austin police chief is now officially Austin's chief of police.

Manley was appointed Interim Chief of Austin Police in December 2016 and has served his entire law enforcement career – spanning almost three decades – with the Austin Police Department. He was named APD’s Chief of Staff in January 2015 after serving as an Assistant Chief for three years.

The ceremony was held at Eastside Memorial High School, Manley's alma mater, on Friday afternoon.
