Police Probe 'Random and Unprovoked' East Side Shooting

Police are looking for a suspect in an east side shooting today that police say was 'random and unprovoked,' News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police were called to Gorman Street, which is just west of the AT&T Center, and when they arrived they found a man in his twenties bleeding from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses told police the man was standing outside this house when the gunman shot him, apparently for no reason.

Police scrambled to a nearby apartment building where witnesses reported the gunman had run into.  Officers carrying long guns were seen, until it was determined that the suspect was not in the apartment.

He remains at large and is considered 'armed and dangerous.'
