A an argument between a husband and wife in the driveway of a west side home early today ended with the husband in custody and his son hospitalized, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the couple was arguing inside the pickup in front of their home in the 100 block of Ricardo, which is just west of Cupples Rd., about 12:30 this morning.
The man started hitting the woman, and their son intervened to pull his mom out of the truck.
Police say the father then put the pickup in gear and ran over his son.
He then grabbed a can of gasoline from the back of the pickup, doused it on the carport, and set it on fire.
He then repeatedly rammed the home with his truck, smashing into it several times.
Police have charged the man with aggravated assault with a vehicle and arson.
The 27 year old son is hospitalized with multiple injuries.
