More than a dozen people had to be treated due to a chemical reaction at a northeast side industrial facility, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The Fire Department says gases released when a person at the facility in the 6900 Block of NE Loop 410 which officials say cleans and refurbishes industrial containers attempted to empty the contents of a tote into a bucket of water.
The symptoms included tingling skin, headache, and nausea.
Officials say some of the workers were treated at the scene, and others were taken to a nearby Texas Med Clinic for treatment.
The SAFD says the symptoms cleared up after treatment and there was never any danger to the public.
