Three States Declare States Of Emergency As Alberto Approaches

Storm Alert

Three Gulf Coast states are under  states of emergency as Subtropical Storm Alberto makes it way north. States of emergency have been declared for Florida, Alabama and  Mississippi.  In a statement, Florida Governor Rick Scott said, "it is  critically important that all Florida counties have every available  resource to keep families safe and prepare for the torrential rain and  severe flooding this storm will bring."  Mississippi Governor Phil  Bryant also declared a state of emergency, saying coastal and inland  flooding could be a serious problem in the coming days.  Alberto is  predicted to travel across the eastern Gulf of Mexico tonight and should  make landfall Monday night.
