A woman in her forties is in critical condition following a bizarre accident at the downtown Greyhound bus terminal early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say a bus was being serviced in a maintenance area of the bus station on St. Marys Street when, for an unknown reason, the woman climbed under the bus.
Not realizing she was down there, the mechanic finished his work, got into the drivers sear, and backed up the bus, crushing the womans legs.
She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. officials say her legs will probably have to be amputated.
The incident has been ruled an accident, and no charges will be filed.
