Suspects in Home Invasion Tracked to Northwest Side Home

Police this morning surrounded a northwest side home where two suspects in a home invasion robbery were barricaded inside, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say about 4AM, the two men broke into a home on PowWow Street, which is near Callaghan and Ingram inside Loop 410, demanded money, and beat the man with the butt end of a pistol. The man was taken to the hospital.  He was not shot, police said.

A short time later, police following the suspects to a home on Meadow Hill, which is  near Ingram and Culebra, outside the Loop.

The men were both inside the home, and police officers surrounded the house, saying they would arrest the men when they emerged.
