Daniel Palka capped a four-run third inning with a two-run triple and the White Sox held off the Rangers 5-3 in Chicago. Jose Abreu went 3-for-3 with an RBI single and a homer in the winning effort. Lucas Giolito tossed six frames of two-run ball to pick up the win. Chicago improved its Major League worst record to 12-and-30. Texas starter Ariel Jurado was unable to make it out of the fifth inning and gave up four runs in the loss. Jurickson Profar drove in two runs for the Rangers as they fell to 18-and-29.
