A Mother’s Day argument between a mom, her son, and her boyfriend ended up with the boyfriend clinging to life after the son allegedly stabbed him in the neck, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to the woman’s home at Hillcrest and Continental, just west of St. Mary’s University, late Sunday night on a report of a disturbance.
Officers were told that the three had been drinking in the back yard of the home when an argument broke out between the son and the older man.
The son pulled a knife and stabbed the man in the back of his neck.He was rushed to University Hospital with injuries that police called ‘life threatening.’
Detectives are interviewing the son, who claimed the attack was self defense.
