A woman in her twenties was the victim of a brutal attack this morning, in the elevator of an upscale north side apartment building, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
When the woman got onto the elevator at the Pure View at TPC Apartments in the 4000 block of TPC Parkway about 1 Friday morning, two men who were already in the elevator started beating and slashing her, deputies say.
The woman received series head injuries and was stabbed several times in the legs.
She managed to get off the elevator when it stopped and call for help. She was rushed to the hospital with multiple injuries. At last check, she was listed in stable condition at University Hosptial.
The men had fled by the time deputies arrived.
Detectives are trying to figure out whether it was a bungled robbery attempt, a sexual assault attempt, or simply a ‘random’ attack.
