No word on the cause of an overnight two alarm fire which was fueled by a number of propane tanks stored on the northwest side property, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
When firefighters arrived at the fire, which was centered in a shed behind an apartment complex on Gus Eckhert Dr, which is not far from USAA's headquarters on Fredericksburg Road, explosions were already being heard as the fire reached the propane tanks.
Resident of the apartment complex got out safely, and fire crews which were called in as apart of the second alarm managed to keep most of the fire away from the residential buildings.
Fire trucks were still on the scene early this morning as a precaution.
