Man 'Doing Donuts' on Southeast Military With Two Small Kids in Car

'Cruising' down the Southeast Military Drive 'strip' may be a decades old tradition, but one cruiser will remember it by all of the charges he's facing, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police were on the scene Sunday night because businesses in the fast growing area around Brooks have begun to complain about the noise and the traffic congestion caused by the cruisers.

Last night when officers arrived about 11PM, they found a man in his late 20s 'doing donuts' in a parking lot in front of a crowd of several dozen cars.

But when officers approached him and asked for his license, police say he became rowdy and one officer had to zap him with a Taser.

Then they found the man was 'doing donuts' in a reckless manner with two unrestrained small children in the car, both under six years old.

He was arrested for reckless driving and resisting arrest, and was also facing the warrants that probably prompted him to resist arrest in the first place.
