Mother Nature gave us generally very pleasant weather during Fiesta, but now that the annual celebration is over, here comes the rain, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports..
The National Weather Service says the metro area could see an inch and a half to two inches of rain this week, with the most severe rains expected Tuesday night through Thursday.
Forecasters say we have the threat of severe thunderstorms Wednesday night into Thursday, although the threat of tornadoes and severe winds is generally well to the north of the San Antonio area.
The NWS says this is generally good news, as drought conditions are now in place across much of west and south Texas, and the rains should do a lot to ease the drought.
There is rain in our forecast every day this week, from today, through Friday, with clearing skies expected by the weekend.
