Gerrit Cole dazzled into the seventh inning as the Astros doubled up the Athletics 8-4 in Houston. Cole struck out 12 over six-and-two-thirds but didn't factor in the decision with WIll Harris getting credit for the win. George Springer and Jose Altuve each drove in a pair of runs in the winning effort. The 'Stros have won three-of-four and improved to 19-and-10 overall. Trevor Cahill surrendered four runs, three earned, over six innings to take the loss for Oakland as it fell to 14-and-14. Jonathan Lucroy had three hits and two RBI in defeat.
