A passenger was killed early today in a single vehicle accident near UTSA, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the man was one of four people inside a vehicle that was traveling west in the 5600 block of UTSA Boulevard about 2:30 this morning when the vehicle suddenly hit a concrete barrier in a road construction site.
The force of the accident propelled the man from the back seat into the windshield where he hit his head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second passenger, aged 30, was rushed to the hositial with multiple injuries.
The driver was detained by police and is under investigation for possible DWI.
No word on why the driver lost control of the vehicle.
