A 32 year old man is in custody in connection with the murder of his girlfriend inside their northeast side apartment, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say Cameron Roby and the victim were in their apartment on Goldfield, which is near I-35 and Rittman, and 10AM today.
Police say an argument erupted and escalated, and Roby shot the victim.She was pronounced dead on the scene, and Roby was arrested without incident.
The victim's infant child was in the apartment but was not injured.
Police were on the scene immediately, because a Sheriff's Deputy was in the apartment complex serving eviction notices when Roby came up to him and confessed to the murder.
