Car Chase Leads to House Fire

A domestic dispute on the city's northwest side ended early today with a complete stranger's home being badly damaged by fire, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say it started when two people who had been arguing began chasing each other in a neighborhood near Culebra and Loop 1604 about 3 AM.

As they drove down Les Harrison Drive, one of the participants apparently cut off the other.

One of the vehicles caught fire and slammed into a home, catching the house on fire.

The family, and the family dog, managed to get out ahead of the fast moving fire, which caused major damage to the house.

Both of the drivers were detained while the incident is investigated.
